Portorož (Slovenia) is situated on the coast of the Gulf of Trieste, about 34 km from the city of Trieste and it is the most important, lively and fashionable tourist center of the Slovenian coast. Sea, wind, salt, Mediterranean aromas, palm trees, roses and evergreen plants, relaxation, entertainment and companionship are the best words to introduce Portorož, a sea resort in the heart of Europe. The intermingling of various cultures and music expressions, nature, culinary delights and turbulent historical events, create an atmosphere, in which the every day life stress and tensions disappear in a relaxed state of mind.
The Grand Hotel Bernardin is a high quality hotel providing remarkable tourist services, it is located in a quiet and natural environment directly overlooking the sea. Fully air conditioned hotel, it has comfortably furnished rooms with balconies and sea view. All the rooms are provided with telephone, air conditioning, TV SAT, PAY TV, radio, minibar, LAN Internet, bathrobe, 24 hour room service.
Bridge Tournaments will be held every day at 4.15 pm and 9.30 pm. For each tournament Fulvio’s partner will be chosen through draw lots.
From 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm time dedicated to Fulvio´s class to discuss the most interesting hands played during past tournaments, then and until 4.00 pm Vincenzo Delle Cave will be available to satisfy your curiosity concerning the spectacular Bridge Base Online community and the most famous computer bridge programs.
Participation fee per person
Participation fee for each person is € 595.00 and includes:
double occupancy (bathrobe and slippers in the room)

The subscription fee to each tournament is € 8,00 for each player. At the end of each tournament you can connect to www.fantonivacations.it and check online the final ranking.
Every day, upon the tournament's start, Fulvio's partner will be chosen through draw lots (with the exception of the VUGRAPH tournament, when Fulvio's partner will be the winner of the overall ranking); his would-be partner will pair with Vincenzo.
We will set up an overall ranking of all the tournaments which will take into account each player's seven best results out of all the tournaments played. The first six top ranking players will win a prize.
The overall ranking will be shown every day in the Tournament room.
How to get
By car:
being close to Italy and Croatia, Portorož is very easily accessible by car. It lies only 32km from the Italian and 30km from the Slovenian motorway. Portorož can be accessed from the direction Ljubljana/Trieste–Koper–Izola–Portorož
By train:
the Koper Railway Station is 15km from Portorož
By bus:
the Portorož bus stop is located at the heart of Portorož, at the Portorož Auditorium turnoff, near a grocer
By ship:
boat service is running between Portorož, Piran, Strunjan, Izola, Koper and Ankaran. Available are boat trips to Venice, Brioni, Croatia, as well as a number of panoramic trips. The Portorož Marina is 2km from the town centre, the Izola Marina 7km, and the Koper Marina and Port 16km. The distance between Portorož and Venice is only 55 miles (Lignano 22, Grado 15 miles)
By plane:
the nearest airports are the International Airport of Ljubljana, Slovenia (Jože Pučnik - 23 km northwest of Ljubljana and 150 km away from Portorož) and the International Airport of Trieste, Italy (Ronchi - 70 km away from Portorož).
