The Festival will be held in the OUT OF THE BLUE CAPSIS ELITE RESORT ллллл, from Sunday 28th August to Saturday 4th September 2011 (the festival closes on Saturday September 3rd during the Awards Ceremony and the Gala Dinner, while Sunday September 4th is day of departure).  All the festival activities (games, lessons, and friendly night tournaments) will be held in the hotelТs conference rooms MINOS&LIDA.
You are, particularly, invited to enjoy the five stars deluxe resort hotel, which is located on a private peninsula, 20 minutes from the city and the International Airport of Heraklion and next to the traditional fishing village of Aghia Pelaghia. This five star deluxe hotel is ideally situated in the center of the island of Crete, providing easy and quick access to all Ancient Sites for excursions. The property is outstretched over this unique peninsula resembling a Cretan Village and is surrounded by a Botanical Park with beautiful Aegean views, extensive gardens, green pathways, ponds, cascades, a small river, 3 beaches, 7 swimming pools, 9 restaurants, 7 bars and a beautiful, private zoo. The property features 3 private greenhouses and large cultivations where organically-grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers are produced and used in all the resortТs restaurants and bars.
The лGreek Islands╗ Bridge Festival includes open pairs games, mixed pairs games and teams games, with total amount of awards А 50,000.  Anybody is welcome to participate in the УGreek IslandsФ bridge festival.  But, please bear in mind that only those who will make their reservations through the authorized organizers will be able to participate in all the events such as bridge lessons, friendly night tournaments, a half day excursion and the gala dinner.  The cost of participation per person is А 100 for the open pairs games, А 60 for the mixed pairs games and А 75 for the teams games.

Master points winners will receive prizes from the Greek Bridge Federation.  The Bridge Festival will start daily at 17:00 and the Friendly Night Tournaments at 22.00. The entry fee for the friendly night tournaments will be 8А and 60% of the income will be offered to prize pools.  Daily commentary of games by Fulvio Fantoni you will be able to watch from 15:00-16:00. International directors will be present during all the tourneys and all Festival tourneys will be transmitted through Bridge Base Online (BBO).
