Once again for our New Year's Eve together we chose a city of art as destination. Thus for the first time we are visiting Florence!
Declared by UNESCO World Heritage Site, Florence is the birth-town of some of the most famous geniuses of the history. The heart of Florence is Piazza della Signoria, where we can find the grandiose Palazzo Vecchio. Near them, there is one of the most renowned museums in the world, the Galleria degli Uffizi.
Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral has the biggest ever dome: they say that its shadow can cover the whole Tuscany! The huge duomo is embellished by a bell tower which is one of the best ones in Italy.
These are only some of the extraordinary constructions in Florence. Every year they attract tourists from every part of the world.
Mediterraneo Hotel is near Santa Croce area, 5 minutes distance by car from the highway way out Florence North.Despite being so easily reachable, the Hotel is near Piazzale Michelangelo, that's to say near the heart of Florence.
The Hotel is equipped with every confort; free wi-fi is available for guests.
Besides its special artistic patrimony, Florence has also other excellences. "Le Volpi e l'Uva", for example, is one of the most renowned wine shops in Italy. The town also offers the possibility to do shopping on the charming background of the Renaissance, choosing among its many shops and boutiques. We are celebrating the New Year's Eve with dinner and live music.
Participation fee per person
For 7 nights, from December 27th 2014 to January 3rd 2015

Participation fee includes:
- staying half board

Participation fee does not include:
- tournaments' entry fee (€ 8,00 per player per tournament)
- garage agreement for 7 days (€ 50)
- eventual tourist tax
- anything not expressly mentioned

A deposit of € 300,00 is required at the time of booking. The balance has to be paid before December 12th.
Cancellations
The deposit won't be refound in case of cancellation after December 15th 2014.

Entry fee for each tournament is € 8,00 per player. All the tournaments are valid to obtain FIGB points. During all the tournaments we are using bridgemates and the running ranking is live-time updated and displayed on a mega-screen. They will also be available on our website at the end of the game.The tournaments will be organized by the international tournament director Bernardo Biondo.
Before every tournament (except the VUGRAPH tournament, during which Fulvio will play with the leader of the overall ranking) we are randomly drawing among all the guests a partner for Fulvio; his previous partner will play in partnership with Vincenzo.
We will set up an overall ranking of all the tournaments and the first six players (considering the seven best scores obtained) will be awarded. The running overall ranking will be daily exposed in the tournaments' hall.
